Healthy work, health home: Area employers discuss building a workplace for positive mental health

For many people, a job and career can be both a rewarding endeavor but also a cause for stress and anxiety. However, there are steps that employers can take to reduce these factors and create a workplace culture of positive mental health.
Last week, employers from across Texoma and members of the Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team discussed the topic of mental health in the workplace along with ways to encourage a healthy environment as a part of the annual Community Behavioral Health Conference. This included panels by area employers and discussions on upcoming initiatives by the TBHLT. ....

Texoma Behavioral Health Conference shines light on mental health needs, resources

Representatives from more than a dozen community organizations came together virtually Friday to discuss the status of mental health resources across Texoma at the Community Behavioral Health Conference. The event showcases the organizations across Texoma that prove mental healthcare services while also putting a spotlight on needs in the area.
This represents the fifth year for the conference and the first time that it has been virtual, due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than meeting in person, organizers live-streamed a series of live and filmed panels, discussions and question and answer sessions on a variety of mental health topics. ....
