PULASKI â The Pulaski Library and the village of Pulaski are sponsoring a SLELO âZoomâ program on urban forestry. It will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5. If people are not able to watch it âliveâ, a website of the recorded program will be provided. WATERTOWN â The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College has released the findings of its 21st annual Jefferson County Survey of the Community â done so virtually Tuesday evening during a virtual meeting of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the survey, which is usually conducted each April, was pushed to October of last year. A total of 587 adult resident interviews were conducted, and according to the center, the result of this sampling is an approximate margin of error of plus or minus 4.4%, after weighting sample survey results toward Jefferson County population characteristics. The survey is an annual inventory of the attitudes and opinions of a sample of adult Jefferson County residents, with the primary goal being to collect data regarding quality-of-life issues of importance to local citizens. ....
CENTRAL SQUARE â The Central Square Historical Society will hold a history talk and open museum viewing from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 21 at the village municipal office, 3125 East Ave. The topic is a pictorial timeline of the village of Central Square. If people have photos or information that may help prepare for this meeting that they could share email town of Hastings/village of Central Square historian Heather Stevens at [email protected]. Masks are required and social distancing with limited capacity. The next meeting is scheduled for April 25. In addition they are updating the family files. They are looking for family histories, photos of people who lived anywhere in the town of Hastings, homes and businesses. ....
