Community Civic Organization breakfast sets off Memorial Day in Willshire Monday, May 31, 2021 10:50 PM Bryan Schlickman serves up pancakes for Willshire Civic Memorial Day breakfast. (DHI Media/Jim Langham) WILLSHIRE – For the past 15 years, the Willshire Community Civic Organization pancake and sausage organization has helped kick off Memorial Day in Willshire. The early morning breakfast is held in the local fire station and continues to take place just prior to the community parade. The parade featured the Parkway High School band and various veterans from the Willshire area who have served in the various wars. Throughout the day, a large crowd of visitors attended the military exhibit at Willshire Home Furnishings. This year’s display featured over 150 uniforms worn by local soldiers in the service of the country.
