I married my wife, Mona, in 1989. Mona and I have one adult son, Brennan. I began my career in law enforcement in 1990 as a police officer for the White Hall Police Department. In 1992, I accepted an offer to become chief of police for the White Hall Police Department. I served as chief until being elected Greene County sheriff in 2010. Brennan ....
When the Gaunt Park pool opens on May 29, it will look, in many ways, similar to last year. Masks will be required, and the grassy area will be marked to designate socially distanced seating areas. But there will be some changes. Gone are both the two-hour session limits and locals-only days. And higher prices will be charged across the board in the first pool rate increase since 2009. Council passed the first reading of an ordinance amending pool rates at its March 15 regular meeting. A second reading and public hearing for the measure is April 5. The largest cost increases will affect nonresidents. In another change, there are no longer lower rates for Miami Township residents. ....

(WDAM) - An annual Easter egg hunt in Hattiesburg that usually brings out hundreds of children only attracted a few youngsters on Saturday. Less than two dozen children turned out to look for eggs at the 73rd Community Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Lionâs Club and the City of Hattiesburg. It was held at Vernon Dahmer Park. Last year, the event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. ....
WHILE observing public-health protocols, over 300 children participated in the Rotary Club of Saipanâs inaugural Community Easter Egg Hunt at Sugar King Park in Garapan on Saturday Toddlers, 1 to 2 years old; pre-school children, 3 to 5 years old; elementary school students, 6 to 10 years old; and middle school students, 11 to 13 years old; scoured designated areas of the park in their search for Easter eggs while high school students competed in an Easter egg decorating contest whose winners will be announced soon.
