BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The state of Alabama is facing a drop in the number of people getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The state is fighting vaccine hesitancy. State health leaders believe information about vaccines is the main way to combat hesitancy and to try and make shots even more accessible.
The latest vaccine distribution dashboard shows the state has received more than 3.9 million doses. At least one dose has been given to 2.5 million people and 1.1 million have been fully vaccinated. ....

HE PLEADED GUILTY TO THE INTENTIONAL MURDER OF HIS WIFE IN A JEFFERSON COUNTY COURTROOM AND WAS SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS BEHIND BARS. THE REASON WE ACCEPTED THE PLEA BARGAIN IS BECAUSE NUMBER ONE. WE GOT A DEFINITE SENTENCE OF 30 YEARS. HE CAN’T HAVE A PAROLE HEREING UNTIL 24 YEARS. AND THEN WE ALSO HE LOST HIS RIGHT TO APPEAL PREVENTING LOVED ONES FROM HAVIN ....

Just a few weeks before Megan Montgomery was shot to death in the dark, empty parking lot near Mountain Brook High School, she posted on social media that she wanted to help others avoid the trap of abusive relationships.
“I want to show them the warning signs, why it is so hard to get out, to help them with the legal system, to help them leave sooner. I started writing my book in the hospital and I used it as therapy,’ the 31-year-old Montgomery wrote. ....

Immediately after our precious 31-year old daughter and sister Megan Montgomery was brutally murdered on December 1, 2019, local and national media were wanting to interview us.
As if we could speak at all without falling apart.
We were numb and in shock. We have purposefully not spoken publicly about her murder over the last 465 days.
That has been very difficult, not only because it was too painful to talk about, but also because we didn’t want to do anything that might negatively influence the future trial in any way. ....
