A massive new structure on the outskirts of Temuka will offer better resilience and fire-fighting capability on the town’s water network. Construction of the new Reservoir for Temuka Township was completed at the end of March, following a 7 month construction project. Work is now underway to connect it into the town’s water network. The Reservoir is an important part of water infrastructure resilience for Temuka, it offers three days storage of treated water to cover times when there is a complication with the current water source and offers significantly more on-demand water capacity when required for firefighting purposes. ....

The Irymple Structure Plan and Urban Design Framework 2021-2036 (the plan) is now in its final stage of public consultation, revealing some of the key themes to come out of previous rounds of community consultation, as well as the proposed roadmap for Irymple’s future. The plan focuses on the area bounded by Sandilong and Morpung Avenues and Fourteenth and Sixteenth Streets. 16-18 Mill Street in Bradford city centre AN application to amend plans for a city centre flats development has been approved. Proposals to turn 16-18 Mill Street, opposite the Travelodge near Forster Square, into 27 one and two bed flats were approved by Bradford Council last year. This week applicant HM Properties was given permission to amend the plans for the building - to include office space in the lower ground floor of the development, space previously allocated as storage. This area of the building would not allow the creation of flats due to potential flood risk. Office use falls into a less vulnerable use than flats when it comes to determining flood risks. ....
