San Diego faith leaders hold vigil for peace before Biden's inauguration


SAN DIEGO   
Dozens of the faithful across San Diego County joined in a virtual interfaith vigil Tuesday night, praying for peace and nonviolence on the eve of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
San Diego County faith leaders also called for the individuals responsible for recent violence in and around the Capitol building to be held accountable.
“We hope that this evening will be a witness to justice and peace,” said Rev. Rebecca Dinovo, a priest at St. James by-the-Sea in La Jolla. “Tonight will serve as an anchor for us for the days ahead.”
The vigil was held in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capital and the Jan. 9 violence at Pacific Beach between Donald Trump supporters and anti-fascist protesters. ....
