‘QUETTA: Protests were held across the city after the Eagle Squad of Balochistan Police allegedly opened fire on the car being driven by a 22-year-old youth, killing him on Wednesday night in Quetta.
The victim of the firing was Faizan Jattak, 22.The incident took place near Sada Bahar Terminal at Sariab Road, sparking protests across the city and outrage on the social media. Apparently the incident took place after the driver failed to stop his car at the Police signal.
Faizan Jattak was the son of tribal elder Mir Dad Mohammad Jattak. His funeral prayers were held in his hometown Dasht on Thursday. A young student was killed in Quetta on Wednesday night after officials of the Eagle Squad of Balochistan Police allegedly opened fire on his car on Sariab Road.
The death of Faizan Jattak, aged around 22, sparked a protest in the city and on social media.
According to the first information report (FIR) registered on the complaint of Jattak s cousin who was travelling with him in the car, the two men were going home through Sariab Road around 10pm when four officials of the Eagle Squad signalled them to stop at Sada Bahar Terminal. ....

National Seniors Cup South ties from Saturday
KARACHI: The 21st National Seniors Cup Southern Zone matches are starting in Karachi from Saturday, Nov 12, Chairman Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association. Fawad Ijaz Khan announced on Wednesday.
The PVCA is organising this tournament since 1998 and many cities from all over Pakistan participate in the tournament. A total of 50 cities and 84 teams participated in this tournament last year.
Because of Covid-19, the PVCA has limited the number of cities and teams for this year’s tournament. This year a total of 58 Teams 46 from Punjab, four from Islamabad and eight from Sindh are participating in the tournament. ....
