Ranchi: Ekikrit Para Sikshak Sangharsh Morcha (the para teachers organisation fighting for their service regularisation and wage increment) has raised concern over the deployment of its members for Covid-19 duty and said they should be provided with insurance cover before their deployment. The organisation said it is also ironic that the government deployed their members as magistrates when they are not considered suitable to become regular teachers. A senior member of the organisation, Sanjay Dubey, said, On one hand, the government doesn t think that we are fit to become regular teachers but on the other, it is assigning us the task of magistrates. There are many regular teachers available with the administration. ....
Picture used for representational purpose only VARANASI: The minister of state (independent charge) for stamp and revenue in Uttar Pradesh, Ravindra Jaiswal, allegedly lost his cool when a man complained of inordinate delay in vaccination at the Shivpur Community Health Centre in Varanasi district on Saturday. A video clip of the incident went viral on social media. The minister was on inspection to review the arrangements at the CHC where vaccination of people in the 18 to 44 age group had started on Saturday when the youth complained of delay and used intemperate language for the doctors and medical staff. The minister later told reporters, “The youth had come hours before the time slot allotted to him online and was accusing doctors of delaying his vaccination and he was using abusive words for them.” ....
Para-teachers hold a meeting at a ground located barely 500 metres from the Vidhan Sabha, in Ranchi on Monday RANCHI: Para-teachers in large numbers protested near the Vidhan Sabha on Monday seeking regularisation of services and pay hike, among others, in defiance of the state government’s diktat to abstain from the agitation. Hundreds of para-teachers from Giridih, Ramgarh, Lohardaga, Deoghar and East Singhbhum districts held a meeting under the banner of Ekikrit Para Sikshak Sangharsh Morcha at a ground located 500 metres from the Vidhan Sabha. The agitation lasted for around six hours. The para-teachers claimed that the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition had assured them that it would regularise their services after coming to power, but the government has not fulfilled its promise even after completing nearly 400 days in office. ....

Ekakrit Para Sikshak Sangharsh Morcha (EPSSM), an umbrella outfit of about 60,000 para teachers in the state, have announced the gherao when the house resumes for the budget session to press for their several pending demands such as job regularisation and better pay among others. The Jharkhand Project Education Council (JPEC) has asked all para-teachers to refrain from protest and has directed district education officers to submit daily attendance reports to initiate action against the teachers. ....
