Cairo: Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi has sworn in new officials whose appointments raised objections from several powers in the country, including the Southern Transitional Council (STC).
Hadi Tuesday swore in Ahmed Saleh Al Musai as Yemen’s prosecutor-general, Ahmed Obeid as the head of the advisory Shura Council, and both Abdullah Abul Gheith and Wahi Taha as deputy heads of the Shura Council, Yemen’s official news agency reported.
They took the oath of office in Riyadh.
Hadi made the appointments in decrees issued on Friday, drawing protests from the STC that is a partner to a recently formed government. ....
