‘BJP eliminated dynastic rule in J&K’ Avtar Bhat SRINAGAR/JAMMU, July 23: Giving all credit to BJP led Union Government of eliminating over 60 years long dynastic rule from J&K, party national general secretary (organisation), B L Santosh today asked the party activists to work for welfare of masses in the Union Territory (UT) and take policy programmes of Narendra Modi Government to every nook and corner of J&K. He, however, snubbed some former Ministers and asked them that instead of raising irrelevant issues they should work for strengthening of the party at grass root level. Addressing series of meetings of party office bearers, ex legislators and DDC members both at Jammu and Srinagar, Santosh said the era of dynastic rule is over in J&K as in BJP the dynastic background is no criteria and a common grassroot level worker can rise to top most post and position in party as well as Government. ....
Excelsior Correspondent NEW DELHI/JAMMU, May 27 : Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today held a meeting of his Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency in which he interacted with the representatives and prominent party leaders, and reviewed the COVID related community service programmes undertaken and also discussed the plan to observe the completion of seven years of the Modi Government on the 30th of this month with community “Seva”/service programmes in the wake of the pandemic . It was informed that from 28th onwards, booth level programmes including blood donation camps will be held across the constituency. On 30th, “Seva” or community service programmes will be held at different Panchayat locations across the six districts of the constituency. The programmes will include distribution of COVID related material like face masks, sanitizers, food ration as well as Oximeters etc. ....

Asim Hashmi Wins From A Doda Seat, BJP Likely To Dominate The DDC Asim Hashmi with the certificate of his electoral win. He defeated BJP leader Shakti Raj Parihar. Hashmi was contesting on PAGD mandate for the National Conference. Hashmi won with a margin of 1336 votes. He had polled 7835 votes and Parihar had polled 6499 votes. With Hashmi‘s win, the region has got a brand new political worker who had earlier joined politics and abandoned it too quickly. BJP leader Shakti Raj Parihar after filing nomination papers on November 21, 2020 The final results suggest that BJP has eventually taken a majority of eight berths and Congress four leaving a seat each for NC and an independent. What makes the election interesting is that BJP top leader Shakti Raj Pariharhas lost from both the territorial berths. He was defeated by Asim from Gundna seat and by Mushtaq Ahmad in Marmat.
