No, West Coast Customs doesn t have a drag-racing division yet. This lightning-liveried coupe is a former super stock and drag radial racer that s getting a makeover, and the owner opted for a set of deep dish wheels.
It s definitely unusual to see big lip rims on a dragster, but they seem to get the job done. Sure, 12-second runs are far from impressive given what s under the hood, but the Monte Carlo runs smoothly despite the almost slammed stance.

It s been touted as the future for heavy transport. Residents of Auckland s eastern suburbs will be the first to experience New Zealand s foray into that future with the first hydrogen-powered bus operating along bus route 70 from Botany to Britomart, via Panmure.
The three-axle bus, AT s largest single-decker, can accommodate over 70 passengers. It was built in Christchurch by Global Bus Ventures at a cost of $1.175million and will be part of a two-year trial which starts this month to assess the relative operating costs compared to diesel and electric buses of a similar size. ....

Detroit General Motors Co. is recalling certain 2021 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna vehicles with 6.6-liter gas engines for a short circuit that could cause a battery fire.
The recall affects 10,176 vehicles in the U.S., GM spokesman Dan Flores said.
In certain circumstances, anti-rotation tabs on the positive battery cable terminals may come in contact with a fuse block assembly attachment post, causing a short circuit, Flores said in a statement. GM is not aware of any crashes or injuries associated with this condition.
A short circuit could cause a low battery voltage warning, the battery to die, or a fire in the engine compartment, the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration said. ....
