Rockport Music to hold spring concerts, lectures

Throughout this spring, Rockport Music will focus its virtual concerts around its Education and Outreach Program, providing a string of free lecture/performance concerts for the public.
The purpose of these adult education concerts is to provide context and illumination to composers, specific pieces and musical styles, enriching the dynamic live performances with shared insights.
The upcoming concerts are:

Palaver Strings, April 15. The chamber ensemble will be giving a two-part lecture/performance, beginning with Strauss on April 8 and Schoenberg on April 15.

Abigale Reisman, April 30. Accompanied by pianist Hankus Nesby, the violinist, known for her work in the great Ezekiel s Wheels Band, will be giving a lecture/performance on klezmer music. ....
