Part of the massive non-country music scene there, Freeze is carving out his own place in Music City with much larger goals in mind. Nordista Freeze is coming to Savannah hot off the heels of winning Lighting 100’s Music City Mayhem battle of the bands. The Nashville artist won over listeners with his exuberant live showmanship, Beach Boys harmonies, and 60’s psychedelic pop, all performed with infectious, sunny charm. “It’s a big thing here in Nashville,” Freeze said of Music City Mayhem. “A local radio station and big promoters, Lightening 100, throw this event once a year to let the underdogs battle it out. Anyone can submit a song. Everyone on staff listens to the songs and they all rank them. Then the top thirty-two get put in a bracket and duke it out. Whoever gets the most votes gets a ton of stuff like studio time, gear, and a practice space for six months.” ....
