INDIANAPOLIS (WFIE) - University of Southern Indiana Volleyball claimed another regular season sweep of a GLVC-rival Saturday afternoon, beating the Greyhounds of Indianapolis in straight sets. With the win, the Screaming Eagles improve to 12-4 overall and two series sweeps this year.
The Eagles fought through three tough sets, including a 27-25 first set, to earn their seventh match sweep on the season. 25th-ranked USI out-performed U-Indy in all major categories en-route to victory, out-attacking the Hounds with 46 kills, 45 assists, and six aces and flying around the court defensively, totaling 71 digs and 10 total blocks. This is also the first time since 2005 the Screaming Eagles own a win streak against Indianapolis when they won three-straight matchups versus the Hounds.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Two of the final three series of the regular season will be at Meeks Family Fieldhouse beginning this weekend when the University of Evansville volleyball team welcomes Southern Illinois. Matches are set for 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.ESPN3 will have the action for both contests.

ROLLA, MO. (WFIE) - University of Southern Indiana Volleyball split its weekend set of matches at the Missouri S&T-hosted GLVC triangular. USI beat the hosting Miners in four sets, then dropped its second match of day to the seventh-ranked UMSL Tritons. The loss snaps an eight-game win streak for the Eagles.
Against Missouri S&T: USI was led by junior Sidney Hegg who posted a career-high in kills and points with 16 and 16.0. Hegg finished with a hitting percentage of .500 on 26 total attacks and three digs. Abby Weber and Katherine Koch finished the four-set match with 11 kills and 12.0 points each. Casey Cepicky continued her path in the USI record books, moving into fifth place all-time in career assists following her 46-assist performance (season-high) against the Miners. LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - McNeese volleyball evened its Southland Conference record at 4-4 after Saturdayâs 3-0 sweep over Northwestern State, winning by scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.
Itâs the second straight win for the Cowgirls over the Lady Demons (2-6, 0-6) in Lake Charles.
McNeeseâs Regan Stiawalt led all attackers with 13 kills and a whopping .440 attack percentage. Caitlin Sharrock added a team-high 18 assists and nine digs while Alexis Lambert matched Sharrock with a team-high nine digs.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - University of Southern Indiana Volleyball captured its seventh-straight victory in two gritty matches, beating GLVC-foes Maryville in four sets and William Jewell in five. The Screaming Eagles fought back from playing down 1-0 against the Saints and 2-0 deficit versus the Cardinals.
The 13th-ranked Eagles improved to 7-1 on the season following the Saturday double-header. USI struggled to start each match but found solid footing to take each match by winning all but one of the major categories and out-hitting the Saints in the last three sets. William Jewell dominated the first two sets over USI but the Screaming Eagles took control of their hitting to navigate a path to victory by reducing attack errors and out-hit the opposing Cardinals.
