CLYMER BOROUGH POLICE CHIEF RESIGNS By Hometown2 On Tuesday night, Clymer Borough Council accepted the resignation of police chief Lou Sacco. Sacco has been with the Clymer Police department since 2019, when he was hired to be their officer in charge. He was named police chief in 2020. Borough Council President Louis Tate said that Sacco made a major impact in his time there. Sacco’s last day is August 1st. He is leaving to become the chief of Blairsville’s police department. To take over for Sacco, council promoted Police Officer Charles Waller to Chief effective August 1st, and hired Ryan Killen as a new part-time police officer effective immediately, provided he passes all requirements. ....
POLICE REPORTS FOR APRIL 9, 2021 By John Smathers Apr 9, 2021 3:52 PM A 36-year-old Punxsutawney woman was injured following a motorcycle crash in Bell Township of Jefferson County on Thursday. Troopers say the crash occurred along Route 119 at its intersection with McCracken Road when Crystal Wooten reportedly lost control and crossed the center line. Police say she hit the guide rail before coming to a final rest. Wooten sustained suspected minor injuries. Jefferson County EMS assisted on scene.
State Police are investigating after a female juvenile reported that she was approached by an unknown adult male while waiting at a school bus stop Friday morning in Clymer Borough. ....

Indiana, PA / WDAD AM1450 & 100.3FM Dec 20, 2020 4:57 AM Clymer Borough Police say a Homer City man was found in illegal possession of drugs during a traffic stop last night at Franklin and Fifth Streets. Andrew Scott Carnahan, 35, had the drug buprenorphine without a prescription, as well as marijuana. He also had a firearm. He will be charged with possession of a controlled substance. At about 11:35 last night, Clymer Police saw a man with his pants down around his ankles, walking in the middle of Walcott Street, vomiting. He then stretched out on the hood of a parked car. When police tried to take him into custody, the man, 31-year-old Joseph Miles Kensinger of Colver, Cambria County, became combative and scuffled with the officers. He was subdued and transported to the Indiana County Jail, charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. ....
