A shoplifter who struggled with police awaits sentence for failing to remain in his house with suspected coronavirus. Paul Wallace, 29, admitted to breaching coronavirus regulations as well as a charge of stealing and resisting arrest during an incident in Stevenston last year. The Glebe Place, Saltcoats resident pled guilty to stealing a quantity of goods from the Ayrshire Warehouse store in Townhead Street, Stevenston on May 28 last year. Court papers state Wallace then struggled violently with a female police officer in an attempt to resist arrest on the same date in New Street. He pled guilty to a third charge of failing to remain in his home address whilst believing he had coronavirus – in breach of Scotland’s health protection restrictions. ....
