The first University of Dayton tenants have moved into the Arcade and it s a sight to behold. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the new spaces of The Hub, soon to be a center of student learning, growing and connecting in downtown Dayton.
To compare the transformation of the Dayton Arcade to a phoenix rising from the ashes hardly begins to capture the magnitude of what’s taking place in the city that is home to the University of Dayton. Unlike in recent years which found this historic block of buildings derelict and often open to the elements now the only birds you’ll find in the space are turkeys. Greater West Dayton Incubator names advisory council, expands work
The Greater West Dayton Incubator, an initiative envisioned by and developed in partnership between the University of Dayton and community leaders of Greater West Dayton with the support of the Entrepreneurs Center, has named an advisory council; identified a temporary location; begun building stronger connections between entrepreneurs and opportunities on campus and at the Dayton Arcade; and developed plans for a micro-loan program expected to begin taking applications in the coming months.
“Our goal is to be a catalyst for an equitable startup ecosystem by supporting Greater West Dayton entrepreneurs with resources including space, funding, contracts, consulting and student support,” said Karlos L. Marshall, manager of the incubator. ....

The Dayton Arcade: A Symbol Of Revitalization And Recovery

The Arcade was a widely-celebrated achievement after its completion in the first decade of the 20th century; the structure is highlighted by a 90-foot diameter glass rotunda that many consider the most spectacular piece of architectural history in the Dayton region.
The managers of the Dayton Arcade are saying about a third of the available retail space in the iconic building has now been rented. The building is still on track to open in early 2021.
