Surf lifesavers from around the South Island tested their skills on and off the water in a fun-filled competition in Nelson.
Tāhunanui Beach hosted the annual Nelson Tasman surf carnival event on Saturday and Sunday, featuring junior and senior surf sport events from IRB racing, beach sprints and flag races, ski races to surf lifeguard award tests.
The competition drew surf lifesavers from the Nelson club as well as Marlborough’s Rarangi SLSC, Kotuku SLSC from Greymouth and Canterbury clubs Waimairi and North Beach. ....
