LPD: Man arrested for kidnapping, assaulting ex s 1-year-old son

A man has been arrested for kidnapping and assaulting the 1-year-old son of his ex-girlfriend, according to Laredo police.
At about 8 p.m. Thursday, Laredo police officers responded to a kidnapping report in the 600 block of East Bustamante Street. A woman stated that her ex-boyfriend took her 1-year-old boy from her vehicle, states an arrest affidavit.
He then ran with the child in an undisclosed location. Authorities would identify the suspect as Gregorio Galvan III, 26. He is not the biological father of the child.
Galvan allegedly left a series of voicemails on the mother’s phone, threatening to harm her and being verbally violent toward the child who was heard in the background crying. ....
