Exclusive Interview: Adrienne Barbeau on Eco-Horror UNEARTH and Her Legendary Life
Read Drew Tinnin s exclusive interview with horror icon Adrienne Barbeau, now starring in the shocking eco-horror UNEARTH!
“Oh you know what? Forget that. I’m not supposed to talk about that yet.” Those were some of the first words from icon Adrienne Barbeau as we started our conversation about her new horror film,
Unearth. Rest assured, that when the news does come out about a certain horror series she’s been filming, we’ll be the first to report it.
Moving along, I was happy to talk with Barbeau about her performance as Kathryn Dolan, a headstrong but weary farmer struggling to keep her family afloat. It’s some of her best acting in years. Unofficial counts on the Bucks County website mid-day on May 19 showed the top four vote getters in the Democratic primary were Dawn Curran, Adrienne King, Carolyn Sciarrino and David O Donnell, moving them forward to be on the Democratic ticket in the fall.Â
On the Republican side, the top four vote-getters were Robert F. Cormack, Christine Batycki, Jordan Blomgren and Ricki Norley Chaikin, moving them forward to be on the Republican ticket in the fall. The four were the Pennridge Republican Committee s endorsed candidates in the primary.

Candidates for school board can cross-file in the primaries on both party ballots, which several, but not all of the candidates, did. None won on both tickets.
What s a CASA?
Court-appointed special advocates, called CASAs, are trained volunteers who help children impacted by the welfare or justice systems navigate the judicial process, serving as their adult eyes and ears and mentors who can help them access needed services.
What s a GAL?
Guardians ad-litem, or GALs, are volunteer investigators appointed by the court to represent a child s best interest in family court cases, typically involving divorce, custody and adoption cases. Sometimes, but not always, GALs are trained lawyers or mental health professionals.
Why did Child Advocates lose its contract?
Child Advocates had performed CASA services in Marion County courts since the 1980s. The city s decision to allow the contract to expire was influenced by an external assessment of the organization s finances and reporting to the Office of Public Health and Safety.
