47abc December 21, 2020 SEAFORD, Del. – The Salvation Army is making sure no child goes without a Christmas gift this year. Today both the Sussex County Salvation Army and the Maryland Salvation Army of the Lower Eastern Shore distributed hundreds of toys to children in need. In Sussex County, the Salvation Army is servicing around 500 children for Christmas. Today, the organization also provided food boxes for families in need. They say this year they experienced an increase in the number of people needing help. “This year we experienced an increase in need,” said Sussex County Salvation Army Lieutenant Kathryn Alban Guerrero. “Last year we serviced around 400 kids,” said Guerrero, “It’s about 100 more kids that we’re servicing this year so we’re just really grateful that we’re still able to help out.” ....
