Mike Louis Russell Sr. WILMINGTON Mike Louis Russell Sr., 82, whose infectious smile and timid personality built a life and a livelihood envied by most, peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at his home surrounded by the love of his life and many family members. Mike Sr. built Russell’s Duraclean Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Wilmington from the ground up, on everything he will be remembered for hard work, strong values, integrity and respect. Although not overly expressive, his actions of patience, kindness and strength will be remembered for years to come by all who crossed his welcoming and friendly path. Of course, he’ll be remembered for love of his North Carolina Tar Heels, his NASCAR and his absolute admiration of his son, daughter, granddaughters and great-grandchildren, but all those fall in line behind his love for his wife of 61 years. ....
