Eine internationale Institution zur Bekämpfung von Geldwäsche hat Malta auf eine Beobachtungsliste für Finanzstraftaten gesetzt. Die Financial Action Task Force (FATF) mit Sitz in Paris entschied sich trotz des Versuchs der maltesischen Regierung, die Entscheidung abzuwenden, zu diesem Schritt, wie die Zeitung „Times of Malta“ am Mittwoch berichtete.
