PRAKASAM: The Eighth Additional Sessions Court on Monday awarded the death penalty to the notorious highway serial killer gang headed by Md Abdul Samad alias Munna Bhai and 11 of his gang members. Judge G. Manohar Reddy sentenced 12 people to death, where four were sentenced to life imprisonment and another to seven years in prison.
The main accused Munna Bhai (51) and his gang members were arrested in cases related to ghastly murders and robberies on the national highways in 2008 near Ongole and have been lodged in prison for the past 13 years. ....

The court in Andhra Pradesh on Monday served death penalty to 12 convicts of the highway murders cases of 2008-09, including the gang leader Munna.
Seven others have been convicted with imprisonment for life or seven years.
A gang lead by Abdul Sammad alias Munna, would kill drivers and cleaners of lorries with heavy loads on the highway, and then break those lorries into scrap, to sell that scrap further.
The notorious gang had killed 13 persons, later he was arrested.
The hearing of four of the cases, in which 6 were murdered, has been completed, and the verdict has been pronounced on Monday. ....

Prakasam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 24 (ANI): The Prakasam District 8th Additional Sessions Court in Ongole on Monday served death penalty to 12 convicts of the highway murders cases of 2008-09, including the gang leader Munna.

Considering as rarest of rare cases, a court in Ongole on Monday awarded the death sentence to dreaded gangster and serial highway killer Md. Abdul Samad alias Munna Bhai and 11 of his accomplices, who were found guilty of dacoity and murder in three cases.
VIII Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Family Court Judge G. Manohar Reddy sentenced to life four other accomplices of Munna Bhai who were involved in waylaying of trucks on the Chennai-Kolkata highway during the year 2008 and escaping with the trucks and goods in them after murdering the occupants. ....
