Game plan: Cutting Dunlap seems likely. That would clear $14.1 million in cap space but would leave the Seahawks without their most accomplished pass-rusher, unless they re-sign him for less. If not, they ll need to add a primary edge threat. They ll also need at least another complementary rusher like Mayowa or Irvin. They can t count too much on Taylor, a second-round pick last year who didn t play as a rookie because of a leg injury. Jackson (neck) is not expected to continue playing. Defensive tackle Poona Ford is Seattle s only restricted free agent who s likely to be tendered.

The Seahawks host the Rams on Sunday with a chance to clinch the NFC West with a victory, and they should be healthier than the last time these teams met when they were without running backs Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny, center Ethan Pocic, cornerback Shaquill Griffin and defensive end Benson Mayowa, to name a few. That being said, the Seahawks will be monitoring several injury situations heading into the week.

The Seahawks have only four players listed with injury designations, meaning everyone else on the roster should be available for Sunday s game, including defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who missed two days of practice with a chest injury before being a limited participant Friday, as well as defensive end Carlos Dunlap II, who before this week had been questionable for the past three games with a foot injury, playing in two and missing one.

The Seahawks will be getting back a big part of their defensive line for Sunday s game at Washington Football Team, but will be missing a starter on their offensive line.
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap II, who was unable to play last week due to a foot injury, is active, while starting right tackle Brandon Shell is inactive due to an ankle injury.

For the second week in a row, the Seahawks will have to wait until game day to determine if defensive end Carlos Dunlap II and right tackle Brandon Shell are able to play.
Shell, who started last week s game but was unable to finish due to an ankle injury, did not practice this week, but is listed as questionable. Dunlap, who didn t play last week after playing through a foot injury the previous week, returned to practice Friday on a limited basis, his first practice participation in three weeks. We held Brandon out again today, but Carlos did practice today, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. So that was a good sign for him in hopes that he ll be able to pull it off to play on the weekend. We ll see. I can t tell you yet. Won t know until really on game day on both those guys.
