(WTOC) - Savannah Police arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting at the Tree House in the early morning hours of Jan. 1. Kendall Stevens, 32, was arrested on Friday by Savannah Police’s Impact Team with support from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Stevens was identified as a suspect by Savannah Police detectives. He is charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Savannah Police responded to a shooting shortly after 2:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day at the Tree House, a bar on West Julian Street in City Market. Three victims were treated at a nearby hospital. One of the victims, Corey Vance, 26, died from his injuries. ....

Later that morning, officers said they were notified about a third shooting victim from the incident who arrived at the hospital by private vehicle. Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives reported three people were shot in incident. Police said they responded to the Tree House in the 3003 block of W. St. Julian Street at 2:15 a.m.and found Corey Vance and a 28-year-old male with shooting injuries. Both men were transported to Memorial University Medical Center where Vance later died. Later in the morning officers were told a third shooting victim from the same incident had arrived at the hospital. The 25-year-old woman had non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives are currently working on leads and do not believe this is a random shooting, Keturah Greene, SPD spokesperson said. ....
