A man from Florida, who, according to police, was driving a truck stolen from Maryland, was arrested in Maryland after fleeing from police in Lower Township. Cops in Lower Township say at around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, Cape May County Dispatch was notified that a stolen truck was possibly in Lower Township, according to the vehicle’s GPS system. An initial investigation revealed the truck was originally reported stolen out of Perryville, MD. Shortly after being notified, Lower Township Police found the truck driving on Gorham Avenue in North Cape May. Once the registration was confirmed, Lower Township officers initiated a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Gorham and Holmes Avenues. The driver refused to exit the commercial vehicle and would not communicate with officers on scene. Supervisors were requested and responded to the scene. Additional assistance was received from the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. ....

Detective Richard Bango said an investigation led by the Shelton Patrol and Detective Bureau led to the discovery of 47 grams of crack cocaine and more than $8,000 in the home of 33-year-old Trevor Dixon, who was arrested on Thursday. Bango said police executed a search and seizure warrant at a Coram Avenue residence on Jan. 27. “During the search warrant, detectives located 47 grams of individually packaged crack cocaine, 25 grams of marijuana, packaging materials and supplies and $8,300 in cash,” Bango said. ....

No. 4, Echo Hose Co. No. 1 and the White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at a Wintergreen Lane address. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. Wednesday, Dec. 9 At 9:46 a.m., the Echo Hose Co. No. 1 responded with a rescue truck to assist EMS at a Woodland Park address. At 10:45 a.m., the White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to standby at the Monroe Station No. 1 while Monroe worked a structure fire. The engine and personnel were later dispatched to assist at the fire scene. ....
