One should remember that visitors can download the LiveSafe app and fill out JMUâs Daily Health Check-in before entering campus buildings or sign one of the health questionnaires for guests located at the entrances to dining facilities. There will be no question that John Tyler Community College will get a new name next year. The only question now is, what will that name be?
Last month, a special task force unanimously recommended that not only the name of the 10th president of the United States be stripped from the campus because of his ties to the Confederacy, but it also wants streets on both the Chester and Midlothian campuses that commemorate him also get renamed. The force also wants new names for Bird and Godwin halls on the Chester campus since they memorialize two Virginia politicians who were cogs in the infamous anti-seg ....
