No one was hurt early Wednesday morning as fire destroyed a Junction City steakhouse, with dollar damages being estimated at $750,000, authorities said.
The Junction City Fire Department and Kansas State Fire Marshal s Office were investigating but hadn t determined the cause of the blaze at Munson s Prime Steakhouse, 426 Goldenbelt Blvd.
Junction City firefighters were called to the scene after the blaze was reported at 4:17 a.m. Wednesday by an off-duty Geary County Sheriff s deputy, the Junction City Fire Department said in a news release.
The Kansas Department of Transportation responded by putting up signs to warn motorists going past on nearby Interstate 70, the release said. ....
