Several MPs ready to sign SDs over 'middle finger' incident in Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: Dissatisfied over purported inaction by the Speaker, Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong said 23 Pakatan Harapan MPs are ready to sign statutory declarations (SDs) to back up claims that they witnessed a deputy minister showing his middle finger in the Parliament.
Khoo was referring to a Dec 2 incident where Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin allegedly made the gesture during his wrapping-up speech on the Plantation, Industries and Commodities Ministry s 2021 Budget at the committee stage.
Khoo said Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun should conduct an investigation into the incident, adding that 23 Pakatan MPs had formally written a letter stating that they had witnessed Mongin making the gesture. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 The government’s plan to restore the Federal Land Development Authority’s (Felda) cash flow and manage its corporate debt is among matters expected to be raised at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.
According to the Order of the Meeting, the matter will be raised by Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris (BN-Jerantut) through a question to the prime minister.
Khoo Poay Tiong (PH-Kota Melaka) will ask the prime minister whether the government will publish the final report of the Electoral Reform Committee (ERC) to members of Parliament and the public. ....
