India: Top artists to showcase work at exhibition in support of cancer patients

Art exhibition-cum-sale to feature the works of 24 artists from across the country
The Covid pandemic has caused devastating interruptions in treatment for scores of cancer patients, says Shubha Maudgal of the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), Mumbai, which is organising its visual art exhibition-cum-sale to support patients.
‘Colours of Life,’ its popular event has been virtual since 2020 after the outbreak of the pandemic. This year, the event showcases an eclectic mix of colours, textures and themes by 24 artists from across India through their 48 works. ....

Chief Minister felicitates eminent citizens at the event
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday presided over the commencement of year-long activities to celebrate 75th year of India’s Independence with an event at Central Park in Connaught Place here.
Mr. Kejriwal unfurled the Indian flag on the stage and felicitated several eminent citizens.
The Chief Minister said that food, water, electricity, shelter and employment were among the dreams of 130 crore Indians, and people should together make a resolution to fulfil these. ....

The headlight partially fills up the dark with light, on a cold winter night – comes out the sun in the dreariness of volatility. And like a spotlight it highlights the walkers, tattlers and the veiled human race. New Delhi, Jan 23 : Ways of Seeing, a historic exhibition by DAG focuses on one of the most contested spaces in Indian art - the gaze - featuring 150 works by female and male artists paralleling the modern art movement in India. Bringing back into focus concepts such as scopophilia or the pleasure of looking at something or someone with reference to the gazer and the gazed, the show explores the subtle distinctions in the ways the artists of both sexes create and experience art. ....
