The Sri Lankan tea industry was no exception as its world-famous outcry system of auctioning tea having a 137-year-old history was changed to a digital system virtually overnight. Once again, the tea industry showed its resilience by rising to the occasion in digitalising the auction in a very short period of time, which facilitated the uninterrupted sale of tea.
