The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of Harold Brown as its first Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, a new executive leadership position created to catalyze, guide and implement the organization s ongoing DE&I initiatives and practices across the organization and in the community. Brown will report directly to CSO President & CEO Jonathan Martin, leading the organization s DE&I department and serving as a key member of the senior management team. UK energy networks appeal against Ofgem's price control

Nine energy network companies are seeking permission from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to appeal against Ofgem’s price control.
They are appealing against changes to the electricity and gas transmission and gas distribution licences, which set out how much energy companies can charge their customers – the result of the RIIO-2 price control decision issued by Ofgem in December 2020 for the period between 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2026.
The appeals largely focus on the allowed return on investment and the way Ofgem calculated the costs the companies would spend on maintaining and investing in their networks over the next five years. ....

Scots energy firms join National Grid in revolt over regulator s curb on customer price rises
SCOTTISH energy firms are to join the National Grid in a rebellion over the UK regulator plan to stop them charging customers more on their gas and electricity bills.
All three had till a deadline of today by which to appeal to the Competition and Markets Authority against plans to curb the returns they make at consumers’ expense.
Glasgow-based ScottishPower, Perth-based SSE and the National Grid have said they are seeking to overturn parts of an Ofgem ruling that would cut their allowed returns.
It came as ScottishPower and SSE apologise after being forced by Ofgem to compensate customers for overcharging in a separate regulatory investigation. They were among 18 gas and electricity suppliers who have were told to pay £10.4 million in compensation for failures to one million homes over overcharging. ....
