House OKs bill to help fund water plan


State lawmakers plan to put an additional $20 million into the Colorado Water Plan under a bipartisan measure that won preliminary approval in the Colorado House on Wednesday.
That money comes on top of whatever revenue the state earns from sports betting, which voters approved in Proposition DD in 2019. The money would go to the Colorado Water Conservation Board, a division of the Department of Natural Resources that provides grants for water projects across the state.
“It’s going to require at least $100 million a year for us to satisfy the needs that have been outlined in that plan,” said House Speaker Alec Garnett, D-Denver, who introduced House Bill 1260 with Rep. Marc Catlin, R-Montrose. ....

Colorado state reps unanimously advance bill to allow to-go cocktails
The Colorado state House on Wednesday advanced a bill to permanently allow the sale of to-go cocktails even after the pandemic is over, according to The Associated Press.
If passed in the state s Senate, the measure the bill would allow the sale of to-go cocktails for five years, until 2026.
The new legislation would continue the order past its slated summer expiration date and beyond the time when all other COVID-19 regulations are lifted.
The Colorado House voted unanimously to advance the measure to the state s upper chamber. ....

The Colorado House of Representatives passed a bill extending to-go cocktails from distillery pubs, restaurants and bars for five years.

DENVER The Colorado House of Representatives on Wednesday unanimously passed a measure that would allow to-go cocktails to continue past the pandemic. 
HB 21-2027 will now go to the State Senate. A previous executive order from Gov. Jared Polis (D-Colorado) allowing takeout alcohol was slated to expire this summer. If the new legislation passes, it would allow to-go alcohol sales to continue indefinitely, even when all COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.  ....

House unanimously passes measure to allow to-go cocktails to continue in Colorado
COLORADO (KRDO) The Colorado House of Representatives on Wednesday unanimously passed a measure that would allow to-go cocktails to continue past the pandemic.
A previous executive order from Governor Jared Polis allowing takeout alcohol was slated to expire this summer. If the new legislation passes, it would allow to-go alcohol sales to continue for the next five years, even when all Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. However, limits will be put in place.
Sonia Riggs, President and CEO of Colorado Restaurant Association said, “Restaurants can sell two bottles of wine, two six-packs of beer, and one liter of alcohol to-go or for delivery.” ....
