Smoke damaged apartment among five Milton Keynes emergency incidents reported in 48 hours

A woman required oxygen after a fire in her flat caused smoke to spread across her home in Milton Keynes.
The fire started in the kitchen of the flat located on Columbia Place in Campbell Park at 3:22 PM on Saturday May 8.
A spokesperson for the Bucks Fire and Rescue Service reported that the flat was 50% damaged by the smoke.

Two crews of firefighters used a main jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
Another woman suffered injuries after being involved in a car crash on Simpson Roundabout by the junction of Groveway and Marlborough Street. The collision involved two cars, when firefighters arrived they had to break the woman out of her vehicle, using rescue equipment. The incident took place, just before midnight last Saturday (May 8). ....

Const. Crystal Evelyn said at about 11:35 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on West Columbia Street near Summit Drive. As part of the investigation, four people were arrested and searched. Weapons including a replica handgun, bear spray and knives were seized, as well as drugs and paraphernalia. 
Those arrested were released at scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Mounties are seeking a man with a crown tattoo on his face following a theft on West Columbia Street in Sahali on Sunday night.
 At about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 900-block of the street for a report of man who allegedly stole property, then brandished a knife when confronted by an employee.  ....

May 3 Only a couple months ago, South Carolinians were spending hours at their computers scouring Facebook groups for leads on COVID-19 vaccine doses and furiously refreshing their web browsers in a frenzy to score shots of the elusive elixir wherever they could find it.
Any increase in the state s weekly allotment of doses, no matter how small, was cause for celebration when demand for shots far outstripped supply.
That s not the case anymore.
In just a matter of weeks, South Carolina has gone from being starved for vaccine to having access to far more doses than it needs. The shift has occurred not because shots are now so plentiful although available supply has increased but because demand has slowed dramatically. ....

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - More than 4,000 people have now received their COVID-19 vaccine at South Carolina’s Community Vaccination Center at Columbia Place Mall.
The temporary mass vaccination clinic opened April 13 and currently offers the Pfizer vaccine. The clinic will be operating for another six weeks.
“I’m proud of these more than 4,000 individuals who’ve done their part to help us bring an end to this pandemic by visiting the Community Vaccination Center and getting their COVID-19 vaccine,” said Dr. Brannon Traxler, DHEC Public Health Director. “This site continues to be an excellent opportunity for our state; it’s never been easier to get your shot.” ....
