A Collier County man was arrested on multiple felonies Tuesday after a traffic stop in Golden Gate.
Deputies say Michael Pilecki, 31, a convicted felon, is facing charges of trafficking in fentanyl (4 grams or more), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance.

This happened early Friday morning on 42nd Street in between Coronado Parkway and Del Prado Boulevard.
Cape Coral police confirmed the fire is being investigated, but it was put out quickly.
No one was injured. Cape Coral Police and Cape Coral fire crews were on scene.

6 months later: Family of missing Cape Coral mother begs for answers
CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One of the things Paul Dumolo misses most about his daughter, Lauren, is her voice.
“I really miss hearing her, and her calling me saying, ‘Hey pops!’ That’s what she called me,” he said.
Lauren was last seen on June 19, 2020 at her apartment complex off Coronado Parkway in Cape Coral. A maintenance man told investigators she stopped him and asked if he knew of any cheap apartments.
Her friends and family said she most likely went to Four Freedoms Park before that encounter, as almost every day she’d visit a bench by the water and meditate. Her boyfriend told police he spoke to her in the morning before he went to work. A few hours later, Lauren, or someone using Lauren’s phone, made a Facebook call to his cell phone, but he didn’t answer. ....

With its proximity to the Veterans Affairs hospital, office space for service providers and location on a main city bus route, the Gibson Medical Center in the Southeast Heights seems like a natural choice for the homeless shelter Albuquerque voters overwhelmingly gave 14 million of their tax dollars to more than a year ago.
But to make it a reality, city officials are going to have to nail down something that has evaded them since talk of building a 24-7, low-barrier homeless shelter began years ago: neighborhood buy-in.
The lack thereof tanked Mayor Tim Keller’s first pick, vacant land owned by the University of New Mexico near Interstate 25 and Lomas. Ditto for plans to replace the now vagrant-filled Coronado Park with a 300-bed facility. ....
