Sindri: Eleven persons tested positive for Covid-19 at Kashitand village under Barwadda police station in Dhanbad on Thursday, a day after the district administration sealed the entry points to the village following the mysterious deaths of four persons of a family. The village has a population of nearly 400 and about 150 persons were tested on Thursday. Officials told TOI that they faced resistance from a section of villagers during the testing drive on Thursday. Govindpur BDO Santosh Kumar said, “A total of 150 persons underwent Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for Covid-19 in the village, out of which 11 persons including one female were found to be positive. They were shifted to a Covid care centre at Nirsa.” ....

Representative image JALAUN: The police here have registered a fresh FIR against ex-BJP functionary Ram Bihari Rathore after a minor boy filed a complaint alleging that the man was sexually assaulting him since 2014, an officer said on Saturday. This is the third case against Rathore, who was arrested on Wednesday on charges of sexually assaulting two children, superintendent of police (SP) Yeshveer Singh said. A minor boy lodged a complaint alleging that he was being sexually assaulted by Rathore since 2014. On the basis of the complaint, another FIR was lodged against Rathore on Friday evening, he said. Some other boys have also come forward alleging that they were sexually assaulted by the accused. Efforts are being made to seek Rathore s police remand for the recovery of more videos, he added. ....

The Uttar Pradesh Police had taken 65-year-old Ram Bihari Rathore into custody from his house in Konch area of Jalaun district on Wednesday. Rathore, a retired revenue official, was held on the basis of complaints filed by the parents of two minor boys. On Thursday, his involvement in three more cases came to the fore. It is being suspected that more cases will surface during the scrutiny of the laptop, hard disc, and DVR confiscated from his house during a raid. ....
