Manitou and District Regional Park preparing for campers from in and out of province


A busy camping season lies ahead in Saskatchewan and
northeastNOW is putting the spotlight on area regional parks ahead of the May long weekend.
A popular camping spot this year, similar to previous years, is the Manitou and District Regional Park.
The park is situated between the town of Watrous and the Resort Village of Manitou Beach.
Co-Manager Kathy Bergen said the park officially opened on May 1 but things really start to pick up on the May long weekend as the weather gets warmer.
“There are no restrictions as for out of province travel, so people are coming from out province to visit us,” Bergen said. “Maybe not overwhelmingly so but it is making for a busier summer.” ....
