Dancers with the North Bergen Recreation Dance Program performed in Bruin Stadium on June 21. The 60 kids in grades kindergarten through 12 danced ballet and jazz for an audience of over 200.

North Bergen hires four part-time police officers
Four new, bilingual, Special Law Enforcement Class II Officers were sworn in on Feb. 16.
All are township residents. Two are Hispanic-American; the others are Arabic-American.
Hoboken man is at it again
Qiuwen Zheng was arrested on Feb. 21 at The Rock Pub & Grill at 206 Broadway in Bayonne. He allegedly entered the tavern, violating a no-contact order for past harassment.
On Jan. 4, he was arrested for the same actions at The Rock. Earlier he’d been arrested for threatening Sandra Dear, owner of Bayonne’s Black-owned Little Boho Bookshop.

Picture Book Author Cat Min to discuss latest book March 5 ×
On Friday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Hoboken’s Little City Books will host Jersey City resident Cat Min, who will read and discuss her new picture book Shy Willow, an illustrated story about shyness, the power of empathy, and what it means to make a friend.
The book is published by Levine Querido, an award-winning children’s book publisher that has recently moved to Hoboken.
Min is an illustrator, animator, and writer who grew up in Hong Kong, where she spent most of her childhood drawing and making comic books out of printer paper and staples with her best friend.
