Alice H. Bartnikowski BANTAM – Alice H. (Cookie) Bartnikowski entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2021, at her home. Daughter of the late Charles S. and Alice (Schlolsky) Bartnikowski, Cookie was born in Torrington, Conn., on Jan. 31, 1946. A lifelong resident of Bantam, she resided in the family home all of her life. She was devoted to her family, loving pets and dear friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, reading, and UConn women’s basketball, but especially caring for her precious pets. She was predeceased by her parents, and dear sisters, Sylvia Fournier and Joan Bartnikowski. Cookie is survived by a niece, Kristen Skoulis (Nicholas), and two great nieces, Sierra Bonin (Jeffrey) and Isabella Skoulis, several cousins and dear friends. ....
February 13, 2021 1148 GOSHEN – Arline O’Brien Barber, of Goshen, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 3, 2021. She was a loving wife and best friend to her husband James Barber. Arline was born in Bridgeport to James and Helena O’Brien. She attended St. Patrick’s Elementary and Central High schools. Always known for her great sense of humor and wonderfully infectious laugh, she set her adventuresome sights on becoming an interior designer. After high school Arline attended a private art and design college located in Greenwich Village-Parsons School of Design. Unfortunately at the end of her first year, her father passed away unexpectedly. ....
