The organisers of Friday’s Kaizer Chiefs supporters’ protest march to the Soweto giants’ headquarters at Naturena have promised a “legal and courteous” proceeding.
The organisers clarified that they have received permission from Chiefs and the relevant authorities‚ including the Johannesburg metro police (JMPD), for the march to Amakhosi’s Village to hand over a memorandum of their grievances.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Philani Zulu watched as the custom-built Kentucky Rounder arrived at Naturena for the iconic reveal of a car built to represent everything Amakhosi as part of Vodacom’s Sisonke Siya Winna campaign. Police in the North West have charged a 17-year-old
boy with the murder of Mapula Meiki Khune whose charred remains
were discovered in Tshing.
The teenager is expected to appear in the
Ventersdorp Children s Court.
Cases of assault were opened after residents
suspected of committing the crime were hunted down by community members.
A 17-year-old suspect has been charged with the
murder of Mapula Meiki Khune, the sister of soccer star Itumeleng
Khune.
The teenager was charged on Friday and is expected
to appear in the Ventersdorp Children s Court on Monday, said police
spokesperson Colonel Adéle Myburgh.
Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed that Itumeleng Khune has been given time off and will not be considered for Kaizer Chiefs’ Caf Champions League Group C match against Petro de Luanda at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
