He spent time on the down days going where the CT couldn’t, and got some surf the CT may possibly wish they’d had. He was known for taking surf trips between surf trips, all while maintaining a healthy social program, and for many, many years he barely touched down at home in Yallingup maybe a few weeks in summer before he was off again. But times have changed. Taj’s retired from the Tour, and fatherhood has grounded him, but it was the pandemic lockdown of Western Australia that really cooled his jets. He’s been home now for over a year. It’s the longest he’s been in one spot since he was 10.
