Ground is set to break soon at Archer Street for Rockhamptonâs latest CBD high-rise development.
Loft on the Lane, which was approved by council in 2016, will begin construction in June with completion planned for the second half of 2022.
The 10-storey, 31 unit residential development will offer two and three-bedroom apartments with an onsite coffee shop/salad bar on the ground floor.
The floor plan of each apartment has been designed to offer open plan living, modern kitchen and bathrooms and expansive balconies.
Rockhampton founded and based companies, Griffin Group and Griffin Builders, are behind the project and have built more than 170 units on the riverbank including Southbank on Victoria, Fitzroy Waterfront Apartments, The Rocks Apartments and The Edge Apartments, as well as Echelon Apartments in Yeppoon.

An approved Rockhampton riverfront development has been granted a reduction in council infrastructure charges.
Griffin Builders’ Loft on The Lane, a 10-storey building with 31 residential units and a food and drink outlet, was first approved by Rockhampton Regional Council in 2016.
The development plans have eight storeys of housing with 15 one-bedroom units, eight-two bedroom units and eight three-bedroom units. Floor plans of the units at Loft On The Lane.
There would be two levels for parking, along with a coffee shop and a private rooftop terrace.
The development is on the corner East Lane and Archer Street, at the old CWA site.

Less is more in the revamped plan for stage two of the Gallery Apartments on Rockhampton’s Victoria Parade.
New plans were submitted this week with Rockhampton Regional Council, with developers Wayne Riddell and Andrew Beaumont proposing 15 units, instead of the approved 26 units.
The $10 million-dollar stage two will now be an eight-storey building with 14 three-bedroom units and one four-bedroom penthouse unit.
“Rather than having smaller units we are going to the three bedroom plus, there is that growing demand people want one per floor and more room,” said selling agent Pat O’Driscoll.
The building will be 27 metres high and has been designed to blend in with the existing Gallery stage one building next door.
