A woman who was found slouched on the passenger seat with an empty bottle of wine had a charge of being drunk in charge of a vehicle dismissed when she appeared in Carrick-on-Shannon District Court.
Natasha McNally, aged 44, from Lismoy, Newtownforbes, Co Longford appeared, charged with the offence on October 22, 2018 at Liseeghan, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.
Garda Gavin Burke said that on that date he received a report from the station that a vehicle was parked on the hard shoulder of the Dublin Road at Liseeghan.
A Carrick-on-Shannon man who appeared in the local court on a large number of charges including the theft of diesel on nine separate occasions, having no drivin.
A Mohill man was ordered to return to court with €2,500 in order to avoid a disqualification for careless driving at Tamlaghtavally, Mohill when he appeare.

Heartfelt tributes and best wishes resonated throughout Longford District Court this week as solicitors, gardaí and court officials wished well-respected Superintendent Jim Delaney well with his upcoming retirement.
Supt Delaney has served in the Longford District for almost five years as superintendent following a lengthy and successful career with An Garda Síochána. He was promoted to the role after a few years as Inspector at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.
State Solicitor Mark Connellan and local solicitor John Quinn led the tributes .On behalf of An Garda Síochána and in particular those members who have worked under Supt Delaney, Inspector Frank Finn commended the professionalism with which Supt Delaney conducted himself.
