Local lawmaker says he supports vaccines but won’t take COVID shot Laura Bischoff
State Rep. Scott Lipps, who was named chairman of the Ohio House Health Committee, said he believes in vaccines but he won’t get vaccinated against COVID-19 when he becomes eligible.
“I don’t understand the science. I really am not convinced. I’m really worried about the trials on that,” said Lipps, who owns a mattress company and home health care supplies firm.
A recent online report by AJ-Plus, an outlet that is part of the Al Jazeera Media Network and funded by Qatar, painted Lipps as an “anti-vaxxer.”

Taber’s chief administrative officer has been terminated by the town’s council for undisclosed reasons, effective immediately, according to a news release on Tuesday.
The council resolved to end its contract with Cory Armfelt during Monday’s regular meeting. Town officials did not give a reason for the termination.

A spokesperson for the town told Postmedia further details wouldn’t be provided, citing privacy concerns because the issue was a personnel matter.
