Richland County Prosecutor Gary Bishop said his office is desperately in need of another experienced prosecutor.
According to RichlandSource.com, Bishop said his assistant prosecutors have an average of 237 cases at one time and barely are able to tread water in terms of case management.
The Richland County Commissioners approved to increase the Prosecutor’s Office budget for next year to an additional $85,000 and possibly more funding this year if Bishop is able to find another prosecutor.
