Workman sentenced, Bates Street trailer demolished ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A Zanesville man, whose trailer was demolished by authorities in March, was sentenced Wednesday for one count of permitting drug abuse. 72-year-old was Gary Workman was placed on community control for two years with the alternate sentencing being 11 months in prison. Workman in March was charged with the drug offense as part of a police investigation into a shooting on Bates Street. The charge against Workman included a forfeiture specification. Once Workman pleaded guilty to the charge, the trailer was demolished. Authorities suspected the trailer for many years had been used for illegal activities including drugs and prostitution. ....

Man wanted after Zanesville shooting, girlfriend arrested in Cambridge Jamarr McConnell and Jasmine Harding turned over to Zanesville Police Department The Daily Jeffersonian Two people facing multiple felony charges including a man charged with attempted murder in connection with a Zanesville shooting were arrested by Cambridge police Saturday at a South 11th Street apartment. Jamarr A. McConnell, 31, Zanesville, and Jasmine N.D. Harding, 21, Cambridge, were arrested and transported to the Guernsey-Muskingum county line where they were released into the custody of Zanesville police officers. A vehicle owned by Harding was also impounded at the request of Zanesville police. McConnell is facing one count of attempted murder, a first-degree felony; 22 counts each of felonious assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, second-degree felonies, and discharging a firearm over a public roadway, third-degree felonies; and one count of tampering w ....

The criminal complaint filed in Zanesville Municipal Court accuses Terrel McConnell of shooting Robert Gladden as he was walking inside his house on Bates Street, after taking his young children to school. McConnell is charged with one first-degree felony count of attempted murder, 22 second-degree felony counts of felonious assault, 22 second-degree felony counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, 22 third-degree felony counts of discharging a firearm over a public roadway, one third-degree felony count of tampering with evidence and one third-degree felony count of having a weapon while under disability. ....
