What is relevant is what it says about us as a people that we would be willing to approve and participate in an event held in a brutal dictatorship that suppresses freedom and places anyone who does not have the state as their first loyalty in re-education (concentration) camps. Gary Clement, 71, a native of Thibodaux, spent over 50 years as a musician and songwriter, touring with famous musicians at notable locations such as the Apollo Theater in New York.
He remained engaged with the local music scene until his death Jan. 15 from complications of COVID-19. ....
