Kerala opposition to not attend Pinarayi Vijayan govt s swearing-in today due to Covid
The Pinarayi Vijayan government in Kerala will be sworn for the second time on May 20. The opposition will not attend the swearing-in ceremony due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Opposition parties will not participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the second Pinarayi Vijayan government which is to be held today. The decision was taken by the opposition parties in the wake of the second wave of Covid-19.
The 21-member cabinet will feature new faces except for three including Pinarayi Vijayan himself. CPI(M) Ministers will offer prayers at the Martyrs Column in Alappuzha at 9:30 am in morning. The function will be held in strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol. The government has said they expect only up to 350 people to attend the function which will be held at the Central Stadi
